Images of a Kirkyard

Following are some photos of the Dunlop kirkyard or cemetery, where a number of Stevenson ancestors are buried.

The kirkyard, containing the earthly remains of numerous Stevensons, surrounds the church. There are very old graves to the right and left of the church, and more current ones in the extensive lot at the rear of the church.

The left lot, behind the church's outbuildings ... includes a stone (in foreground) crudely carved with skull and crossbones; erected in honor of one of the kirkyard's caretakers.
